Carter graduated with a degree in Mortuary Science from Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, GA.  He has been a licensed Funeral Director for 15 years.  He is a member of the Olive Branch Rotary Club, is active in the Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce and is an officer in the Federal Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT).  Carter and his wife Pam are active members of Longview Heights Baptist Church of Olive Branch.
