As a provider of Dignity Memorial we offer the following services:
National Transferability
Our prearranged services are fully transferable and will be honored by another provider in Dignity Memorial's North American network. If you move more than 75 miles from your original place of residence and your Dignity Memorial provider, your prearranged plan moves with you. If there is no Dignity Memorial provider in your new location, we will attempt to find another provider to honor the guaranteed price.
Bereavement Travel Services
Dignity Memorial providers have secured significant savings on airfares throughout the United States, as well as certain international destinations (including Canada) to assist family and friends in making travel arrangements to attend a funeral or memorial service. As a benefit for selecting a Dignity Memorial Provider, four members of the immediate family of the deceased are eligible to receive special savings on airfares offered through the Dignity Memorial Bereavement Travel Program to attend a funeral, memorial, or graveside service. In addition, should you select a Dignity Memorial Funeral or Cremation Plan, you will be able to extend the travel benefit to include all family members and friends, as well as make return trips to settle estate matters and family business.
Aftercare Planner
Managing business affairs and closing an estate after the loss of a loved one can be a daunting process. Unfortunately, many of these details require immediate attention. The Aftercare Planner is a comprehensive guide that provides a step-by-step organizational system to help you simplify and prioritize the tasks at hand. With the Aftercare Planner, you will receive pre-written letters, helpful tips on estate management and a system to track all of your activities. The Aftercare Planner will help you reduce professional fees and unnecessary service charges and will minimize time and effort. Some families find the Aftercare Planner beneficial before a loss occurs to start the documentation, estate management and information gathering in advance. Whatever the circumstance, the Aftercare Planner is a helpful tool to assist you when handling these affairs.
Personal Planning Guide
This valuable booklet will document your entire funeral or cremation wishes, including a particular reading or song or even flowers you prefer. It also documents additional family information such as military history, family heritage, estate information, insurance coverage, and an inventory of personal property. The Personal Planning Guide is an important reference document for your family and heirs.
Grief Management Library
Picking Up The Pieces® is an award-winning series of videotapes, books and brochures designed to help people cope with the loss of a spouse, parent, child, or loved one. In addition to offering beneficial advice, understanding, and counsel, this video series provides a valuable list of additional grief management resources.
24-Hour Compassion Helpline
The Compassion Helpline is a service offered through Dignity Memorial providers to help those in grief. It gives you somewhere to turn for help, especially if those who normally support you, like clergy, family or friends, are unavailable.
The Compassion Helpline is a counseling resource available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is staffed at all times by licensed professionals who are specially trained in grief counseling. All staff members have advanced degrees - either Ph.D.s or Masters in Social Work. By calling the toll free number, you or members of your immediate family can talk at any time to these professionally trained grief counselors who will support and guide you through this difficult time. It is available for up to one year after the time of death, and may be used in conjunction with Hospice services.
Everlasting Memorial® from Making Everlasting Memories® (www.mem.com)
An Everlasting Memorial offers the ultimate way to preserve and share a beautiful life story. Your Dignity Memorial provider can help you archive writings, pictures and other images that capture and electronically document the essence of your loved one. It is a window into a life that can be shared across the oceans and beyond the boundaries of lifetimes, and will allow your grandchildren and future generations to read, understand, enjoy, and remember.
Child/Grandchild Protection Program*
In the tragic event that an unmarried child or grandchild (under 21) of yours dies, while your Dignity Memorial Plan is in effect, your Dignity Memorial provider will provide complete funeral or cremation services, up to the level of service of the plan you originally selected, at no charge to you.
Legal Services Membership
Membership is provided in a legal services plan for one year. All eligible family members have access to a number of paid-in-full and reduced rate legal services. Paid-in-full benefits include unlimited telephone consultations on all legal matters, preparation of important legal documents such as simple Wills and Powers of Attorney, and letters and phone calls made on your behalf to help resolve third party problems.
